King’s Oak celebrates good Modeshift accreditation

King’s Oak Academy’s commitment to promoting sustainable and active travel has seen it awarded Good Modeshift Accreditation.
The accreditation celebrates the efforts of pupils, staff and families in encouraging walking, cycling, scooting and other environmentally friendly ways of travelling to and from school.
By promoting these healthier and more sustainable travel choices, the academy is helping to support healthier lifestyles, reduce environmental impact and create a greener community.
A spokesperson for King’s Oak Academy said: “We are delighted to have received this accreditation, which recognises the collective efforts of our pupils, staff and families in promoting active and sustainable travel.
“Encouraging our school community to walk, cycle or scoot wherever possible is a fantastic way to support healthier lifestyles, protect the environment and make a positive difference to our local community.
“We are proud of everyone who has contributed to this achievement and look forward to continuing to build on this success.”
