King’s Oak Academy on BBC Points West
Schools across the country marked Safer Internet Day this week, joining a global annual campaign that promotes safer, more responsible and positive use of digital technology—particularly among children and young people.
At King’s Oak Academy, seven students have taken their commitment a step further by agreeing to stay away from social media for seven days. The self-imposed challenge aims to encourage reflection on digital habits and highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between online and offline life.
BBC Points West reporter Amanda Parr caught up with the students before their social media ban began.
