GCSE pride at King’s Oak Academy
The staff and academy councillors of King’s Oak Academy extend their heartfelt congratulations to the school’s Year 11 students who have received their GCSE and BTEC results today.
These excellent grades reflect the hard work and dedication each student has shown throughout their five years of secondary education.
King’s Oak students – supported by their parents, carers, friends, and the King’s Oak staff – demonstrated remarkable tenacity and resilience, ensuring they reached their full potential.
We wish all our students the very best for the future and eagerly anticipate hearing about their continued success as they transition to Post-16 learning.
Katherine Ogden, Senior Principal of King’s Oak Academy, said: “This is a significant day for our community, and we are incredibly proud of all our Year 11 students who have much to celebrate.
“This year’s marked improvement in results across each phase of our all-through academy is particularly meaningful and achieved our best ever KS4 results.
“We know that education encompasses far more than preparation for exams, yet we also recognise the critical role academic achievement plays in creating opportunities for our students. For many, particularly those who have faced significant challenges, these qualifications are key to unlocking a future filled with possibilities.
“It’s heartening to see so many of our students and their families are pleased with their results today, and many expressing their gratitude for the unwavering support that they have received from their teachers throughout their secondary education.
“Our focus now is to work with each family to ensure their child is well-prepared for a post-16 course that will support their next steps in life. We are confident that both the CLF P16 and our local colleges will be fortunate to have them as students next year.”
The King’s Oak students were among nearly 2,000 young people across the Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) who received their results today – with many celebrating outstanding results and getting set for the next stage of their education.
CLF Deputy CEO Sally Apps said: “As a trust we would like to extend our congratulations to the 1,994 students who are receiving their GCSE and equivalent qualifications today.
“These are the result of considerable effort, diligence and determination and the results celebrated today are opening the door to a range of excellent onward destinations for our young people who have studied at our mainstream and specialist schools.
