King’s Oak hosts successful Year 11 information evening

King’s Oak Academy welcomed students and parents/carers to their annual Year 11 information evening, an event designed to support students as they approach a key transitional period in their academic journey.

The academy hosted 16 external colleges, sixth forms, and apprenticeship employers, who showcased a range of pathways available to students after graduation.

The event, held in the school’s new canteen, was full of experts eager to offer advice and guidance, ensuring students are well-informed about their future options

In addition to the external exhibitors, academy staff provided crucial information on important Year 11 topics. These included revision guides, exam timetables, and exciting details about the much-anticipated Year 11 prom.

A spokesperson said: “The evening was a tremendous success, with positive feedback from both students and parents, who left feeling well-prepared and supported as they plan the next steps in their education.”
