Community Christmas Appeal

4 December 2020

Dear Parent/Carers

Community Christmas appeal

This Christmas, we are encouraging the students to think about the people who are in our local community. We are hoping to spread the festive cheer whilst learning about the meaning of giving at Christmas time.

For this, Year 7 to Year 11 have been teamed up with the Kingswood policing team. We will be thinking of how our local policing team looks after our community and how some of the officers will be working over the Christmas period.

We are hoping to create a Christmas Hamper for the staff of the policing team, so that they know that they are in our thoughts this Christmas.

Some possible hamper suggestions are…

  • Biscuits
  • Chocolates
  • Scarves, gloves, hats
  • Books
  • Christmas keepsakes
  • Mugs

If you would like to wrap and bring a donation into school for the police hamper, could you please do so by Monday 14 December – we will then quarantine any donations before later delivering them. Due to this, please ensure that any perishables have an appropriate shelf life. If anyone has a hamper basket, which they wish to donate, please could you let a member of staff know.

Kind regards

Mrs Jo Thorn
Assistant Principal and Primary Phase Leader Acorn
